It is recently revealed that Charizard will have two Mega Evolutions in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y! Using either the Charizardite X orCharizardite Y, Charizard can Mega Evolve into either Mega Charizard X orMega Charizard Y!
When Charizard Mega Evolves into Mega Charizard X, its body turns black and its flames burn blue with increased heat. It also changes types when it Mega Evolves, changing from Fire and Flying-type to Fire and Dragon-type!
In addition, it's Attack increases significantly and its Ability changes to Tough Claws, which raises the power of moves that make direct contact. This Ability comes in handy when Mega Charizard X learns the Dragon-type move Dragon Tail which can force an opposing Pokémon to switch out during battle while also dealing damage.
The previously announced Mega Charizard is Mega Charizard Y. This Mega Charizard's Sp. Attack increases significantly, and its Ability changes toDrought, increasing the power of Fire-type moves. Mega Charizard Y can learn the Fire-type move Blast Burn which becomes even more powerful with the effect of the Drought Ability.

Una de las características que más ha robado la atención de las cámaras en los nuevos “Pokémon X / Pokémon Y” es la nueva capacidad que tendrán algunos personajes de “mega-evolucionar” y uno de ellos es el mítico Charizard que aún se conserva como uno de pokémones favoritos desde su debut en “Pokémon Red/Green/Blue”.
Y ahora se han anunciado más detalles respecto a la nueva evolución. Al parecer Charizard podrá evolucionar a “Mega-Charizard X” o “Mega-Charizard Y” dependiendo que mega-piedra lleve (Charizadita X o Y). La versión que se había revelado anteriormente era “Mega-Charizard Y” con una paleta de colores similares a las de Charizard normal, mientras que la versión “X” será de color negro y de llamas azules.
Algo que de seguro alegrará a los fans de la última evolución de Charmander, es que “Mega-Charizard” dejara de ser un pokémon fuego/volador para ser un Fuego/Dragon
